Beautiful scenery. Nice, grassy area, and picnic table at our site. Pretty dog walk field. Barbecue grill, picnic table at site. Garbage can at site, but not dumped often enough.
Free parking in field next to Casino parking area, relatively level. No hookups, but water available. Register in casino, and promise to use casino facilities. Can stay for five days. Walk to casino. Good restaurant. Gas station on property. Beautiful views of mountains.
Nice personnel in the office. The sites are gravel and somewhat small, but level. Odd sewer hookups: doesn't seal tightly as the hose just lays in the sewer hole without screwing down which can emit some bad odors. Some nice landscaping around. Wal-Mart and Radio Shack are handy across street. A short walk to nice hotel with special lobby and laser light show. There's free buses several times a day to both Freemont St., and the Strip: excellent! We stay here whenever we're in Vegas.
Price was with Camp Club USA discount. Beautiful spot on small lake with lots of friendly ducks; they even supply pedal boats and kayaks at no additional charge. Good food was reasonably priced at the Casino. Cable TV access would make this a 10, but it's not available in this area. Antenna brings in several channels, albeit somewhat snowy on our set. People in office are friendly. Love the place, and will return often.
Nice park in good location. Gravel pads. Walk to nice hotel with interesting laser light display. Wal-Mart across the street. Free shuttle to downtown-Freemont St., and strip. Weird sewer hookup allows fumes with bad odors. Add $4 service charge for cable whether or not you use it.
Absolutely beautiful, relaxing spot on small, pretty lake. Free use of pedal boats and kayaks. Casino with good, inexpensive food on property. Sit outside and relax watching ducks, water and people walking by on sidewalk around lake. Most relaxing place I've ever stayed. Perfect except no cable.
The park is in a great location for skiing at Mammoth Mountain. You can walk to the free mountain bus and some local restaurants. The maintenance in the restrooms could use some attention i.e: broken/missing soap dishes, however they are immaculately clean, and nice and warm during the cold winter months. The staff is somewhat surly. Seems like they might be understaffed as they don't answer phone calls immediately, but return your reservation call later in the evening. The pool/spa are excellent for winter use. The free wi-fi worked well. No winter water or sewer at site, but they were available elsewhere.
Beautiful landscaping. Each space had a picnic table and grassy area. The bathrooms were immaculate and well-maintained. The hotel was a short walk away or could be accessed by free shuttle after 4 pm. The lovely pool/spa in the hotel were available for free use by RV Park guests. Hotel had a nice casino and good restaurant. They even gave coupons for Casino, nightclub, and gift shop discounts. They also had a clean, fenced dog run. Enter the park from behind the Shell station, not from the hotel. When pulling in, if kiosk is not staffed, call the desk from the kiosk phone. They will tell you what space to use, and you can check in later at the hotel.
We were warned when we made our reservation that all sites with cable/sewer were occupied, but we could occupy a site with electric and water. We were not warned that the site was very small. Backing in was very tight for a 36' motorhome. The rest of the park was very pretty, however, and free wi-fi was available outside of the office. The staff was very nice. The reason for the low rating was that the restrooms were dirty and non-functioning. Sign on the stall door said to throw ALL papers in the wastebasket next to the toilet. By the morning we left, the toilets weren't flushing. There were also cobwebs in the bathhouse. New facilities were promised in the spring, but when we stayed in April, work hadn't been started. Landscaping was beautiful.
The park is a city park with city environment and surroundings-not a place to spend time lounging at. It is a short drive/long walk to the hotels/casinos, and convenient to Reno's Riverwalk especially beautiful downtown area. The bathrooms/laundry facilities were not particularly clean, and you had to leave a refundable deposit for a key to lock the ladies room from the inside to secure the facility from unwanted access while you were using it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free wi-fi worked well.
Pretty spot in an open field on the Fairgrounds; about 30 miles to Yosemite. No frills, but picnic tables close to the sites. Individual campers use the self-registration procedure for payment of camping fees and check in. You stop at entrance to the Fairgrounds and complete a registration card, deposit it with payment into a drop box, and pick your site in the field. Just outside the quaint town of Mariposa.
